NeodraDynamics unveils Neo1 13-foot heavy-duty robot
NeodraDynamics Robotics has unveiled the Neo1, a 13-foot tall, 1.2-ton mecha designed for heavy industrial workloads. Showcased at the China International Industry Fair, the robot is marketed as a “sky, ground and sea” responder intended for demanding environments such as mining, industrial ports, nuclear facilities, and underwater engineering.
The Neo1 utilizes a hydraulic-electric hybrid drive system rather than relying solely on traditional electric motors. It features 41 active degrees of freedom, including 39 miniature digital hydraulic actuators and two electric rotational joints in the forearms. According to manufacturer specifications, the robot can handle a combined two-arm payload of over 1,100 pounds and claims a repeatable positioning accuracy of ±0.0002 inches.
While the company envisions the robot assisting with cargo handling, debris removal, and maintenance in hazardous conditions, technical details regarding real-world performance and independent verification of these specifications are currently limited.
