Neoenergia wins seven Abradee awards in Brazil

Iberdrola's subsidiary, Neoenergia, has secured seven awards at the Abradee Awards, the primary recognition for the Brazilian electricity industry. Out of eleven nominations, the group's companies demonstrated significant leadership across various regions and operational categories.

Neoenergia Cosern was named the best electricity distributor in Brazil for the second consecutive year, also winning awards for the best distributor in the Northeast region and for Economic-Financial Management. Neoenergia Elektro achieved second place in the national ranking and was recognized as the best distributor in the Southeast, winning awards for Management Quality, Innovation Management, and Operational Management.

Additionally, Neoenergia Brasília was honored as the best distributor for the North-Central West region. These accolades coincide with Iberdrola's substantial investment strategy in Brazil, which includes a planned 50 billion reais (approximately 9 billion euros) between 2026 and 2030 to modernize, expand, and digitalize electrical networks to meet growing demand and support economic electrification.
