Neogen Logic secures U.S. patent for AI T-cell response prediction technology
Neogen Logic, a subsidiary of SCL Science, has received approval for a U.S. patent regarding its AI-driven technology for predicting T-cell activity related to peptide-MHC interactions.
The technology analyzes a patient's genetic information to identify MHC and cancer cell neoantigen data. By examining how the amino acid sequences of these two proteins interact with T-cells, the AI predicts the likelihood of interferon-gamma secretion, a key indicator of immune response. This allows for the selection of specific targets that a patient's immune system is most likely to recognize and attack.
This advancement is expected to maximize the effectiveness of mRNA cancer vaccines by allowing more targets to be loaded into vaccines of the same size. Neogen Logic intends to use this patent to strengthen its negotiating position for technology transfers and joint development projects with global pharmaceutical and biotech companies.
SCL Science and Neogen Logic are scheduled to hold an investor briefing on September 29 to discuss clinical entry plans for cancer vaccines, R&D progress, and organizational updates.
