Neon Giant reveals No Law, a new cyberpunk open-world shooter

Swedish developer Neon Giant, backed by Krafton, is developing No Law, an ambitious first-person open-world cyberpunk shooter. Moving away from the isometric style of their previous title, The Ascent, the studio is focusing on a deeply systemic, immersive sim experience set in the coastal metropolis of Port Desire.

Unlike traditional dystopian settings characterized by sterile concrete, Port Desire features a unique aesthetic where lush vegetation aggressively overtakes the urban environment. The city is carved into ocean cliffs at a neutral border between three rival nations, requiring nightly chemical sprays to prevent nature from reclaiming the streets.

Players take on the role of Grey Harker, an ex-military veteran seeking vengeance within the city's criminal underworld. The game emphasizes high levels of detail and vertical exploration, with a release anticipated in the coming years.
