Neon joins distribution for documentary NAZA
Neon has joined an existing distribution campaign for the documentary NAZA, directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Szor. The film, a production of The Guardian, JWFilms, Placeholder Films, and Unseen Hand, aims to expand its reach to larger audiences following its initial independent release.
NAZA previously opened in 85 theaters across 30 US cities in late September, earning over $700,000. The documentary has already secured theatrical distribution in more than 50 countries. The deal was negotiated by international sales agent MK2.
The film features testimony from 24 anonymous Israeli military and intelligence interviewees, filmed at night on rooftops in Tel Aviv. It addresses systems related to civilian killings in Gaza.
NAZA has received significant festival recognition, including the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival, the San Sebastian Audience Award, and the Hot Springs Critics Prize. It also holds three Critics Choice documentary nominations for Best Documentary, Best Director(s), and Best Political Documentary.
