Nepal A cricket team to compete in Australia's Top End T20 Series

The Nepal ‘A’ cricket team is set to participate in Australia’s Top End T20 Series in Darwin, beginning August 21. Unlike the previous year when the senior national squad competed, the Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has selected a 15-member ‘A’ team for this campaign to allow emerging players exposure to Australian conditions.

Led by captain Anil Kumar Sah, the squad features a mix of experienced and young talent, including five returning players from last year’s tournament: Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Lokesh Bam, Rupesh Singh, and Shah Alam. Head coach Raju Basnyat noted that the ‘A’ team serves as a vital mechanism for strengthening Nepali cricket by facilitating player transitions to the senior squad.

Nepal’s schedule includes league matches against the NT Strike, Bangladesh High Performance, Hobart Hurricanes Academy, ACT Comets, Kingsmen, and Victoria CA XI. The team aims to perform in both T20 and 50-over formats during their stay.
