Nepal floods leave students distressed as parents remain missing
Devastating floods along the Nepal-China border have caused widespread destruction, leaving thousands of people displaced and hundreds missing. The disaster has significantly impacted the lives of students, including Tanvi, a NEET PG aspirant who sat for her medical entrance examination while her parents remained missing due to the floods.
Tanvi reported that she spent approximately half of her three-hour computer-based exam crying, noting that the emotional distress made it difficult to read the questions. The floods have caused severe disruption to education and mental well-being in the region, as displaced individuals struggle to access resources and cope with the trauma of losing homes and livelihoods.
