Nepal House of Representatives to discuss Bhotekoshi flood

The Nepal House of Representatives is scheduled to meet to discuss the catastrophic flash floods that occurred along the Bhotekoshi and Trishuli river corridors on August 26. Speaker Dol Prasad Aryal is expected to present a special proposal to address the disaster, which caused widespread destruction in the districts of Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Chitwan, and Gorkha, and resulted in numerous casualties among both Nepali and foreign nationals.

The parliamentary discussion will focus on search and rescue efforts, relief distribution, and the rehabilitation of those rendered homeless. Additionally, the International Relations and Tourism Committee will meet to evaluate the impact of the flooding on the nation's tourism sector.
