Nepal weather forecast predicts increased rainfall and snow

Meteorologists forecast an increase in rainfall across Nepal in the coming days, despite the monsoon beginning to withdraw. Moisture-laden air from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea is expected to drive increased precipitation, particularly in the western regions.

Moderate rain and snowfall are anticipated in the mountainous and hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, and Lumbini provinces. Light rainfall and snow are also possible in parts of Karnali and Sudurpashchim. The Tarai regions and Madhesh Province are expected to experience moderate rainfall.

Experts suggest that rainfall activity may persist until the day before Ghatasthapana of Dashain, with a potential easing of conditions on the holiday itself. Recent weather patterns show that rain has already fallen across the country from Karnali to Koshi, with moderate to heavy rainfall recorded in several provinces.
