Nepal's Annapurna Circuit sees trekking rebound after floods
Tourism is recovering along Nepal's Annapurna Circuit following significant disruptions caused by floods, landslides, heavy rain, and snowfall. Trail-clearing operations have successfully reopened access across the route, including the critical Thorong La Pass, which sits at an altitude of 5,416 meters.
At the Dharapani tourist check and information centre, daily arrivals have risen to approximately 150 to 200 visitors. This marks a substantial recovery from a period when severe weather reduced numbers to only one or two trekkers per day. The disruptions previously stranded hundreds of visitors in the Manang region and forced many to abandon or postpone their journeys.
