Neratovice Fire Brigade Holds Major Tactical Drill After Electric Scooter Fire
On 23 July 2026, a large‑scale tactical exercise named “Budova 2026” was conducted at the municipal office in Neratovice, Czech Republic. The drill simulated an emergency after an electric scooter caught fire on the fourth floor, rapidly spreading flames, dense smoke, and a risk of battery explosion, trapping several occupants.
Firefighters, medical rescue teams, police, and municipal officials coordinated the response. The building was evacuated by municipal staff together with the local city police. Fire units responded at the second alarm level, performed interior searches, suppressed the fire, and rescued the trapped individuals. Fourteen people with varying injury severity were treated on‑site by medical services and prepared for transport. Police secured the area, managed traffic, and maintained public order. Additional support came from the SDH Spomyšl unit and the Czech Red Cross, which provided assistance to evacuees and helped run the crisis command centre.
