Nermin Nikšić questioned in Bosnia and Herzegovina corruption probe

Nermin Nikšić, the Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, has undergone questioning by the Prosecutor's Office for the Organization of the Crime Against the State (POSKOK). The questioning is part of the ongoing investigation known as the ‘Munjić and others’ case.

Federal prosecutors allege that several individuals, including former acting director of the Federal Police Administration (FUP) Vahidin Munjić, Muhamed Ohranović, Arijana Huseinović-Ajanović (the Prime Minister's Chief of Staff), and Ervin Mušinović, engaged in systemic abuse of position and influence peddling.

Key allegations include the unauthorized photographing and sharing of confidential documents from the Cantonal Prosecutor's Office to undermine investigations. Additionally, investigators claim that communications via Viber and Signal revealed agreements regarding improper employment practices within the FUP, including the provision of testing questions and lobbying for specific appointments. The investigation suggests these actions were aimed at achieving personal and political interests, thereby undermining public trust in state institutions.
