Elvas social housing: 60 new homes delivered by Minister

Manuel Castro Almeida, the Minister of Economy and Territorial Cohesion, presided over a ceremony in Elvas to deliver keys for 60 new social housing units. The homes were constructed by the Elvas Municipality in the Quinta dos Arcos urban area.

During the event, the Minister noted that housing is a major concern for Portuguese citizens. He highlighted a national survey by municipalities indicating a need for 133,000 homes and announced the availability of 1.5 billion euros to support collaboration between the State and local authorities to address this issue, with a target goal set for 2030.
