Nerva launches Spark electric scooter with BYD batteries

Spanish electric vehicle company Nerva has launched the Spark, a new electric scooter designed for urban mobility. The model is available in two versions based on a shared technical platform: the L1e, which functions as a moped, and the L3e, which is equivalent to a 125 cc scooter.

The L1e version is accessible with an AM license, offering 1.8 kW of nominal power, a top speed of 45 km/h, and an autonomy of up to 80 km. The L3e version is intended for users with an A1 license or a B license held for at least three years; it delivers 5 kW of nominal power, reaches speeds of 95 km/h, and features a larger 3.496 kWh battery.

A key feature of the Spark is its removable battery utilizing BYD Blade LFP (lithium iron phosphate) technology. This battery system is noted for its thermal stability and durability, as it does not use nickel or cobalt. Users can recharge the battery via a standard domestic Schuko plug or through public charging infrastructure using a Type 2 cable.
