Neschan Moulazim holds daughter's baptism in the sea

Model Neschan Moulazim and her husband, Stelios Pologeorgis, held a unique baptism ceremony for their daughter in the sea. During an appearance on the program ‘Happy Day’, Moulazim explained that the decision to perform the religious rite in a marine environment was a long-held wish inspired by the historical tradition of baptisms in rivers and seas, such as the baptism of Christ in the Jordan River.

The ceremony took place on Sunday, September 20, in Agia Marina. Moulazim noted that the priests involved were supportive of the unconventional setting. She described the child as being very calm during the event, noting that the infant was sleeping until the moment she was prepared to enter the water.

The couple also shared the reasoning behind their daughter's names, choosing to honor their Greek and Turkish heritage by selecting one name from each culture. The name Neschan, which means ‘unique’, is a rare name in Turkey.
