NESDA launches extension program for micro-enterprises
The National Agency for Support and Development of Entrepreneurship (NESDA) has launched a new program called ‘NESDA Extension.’ This initiative is designed to help micro-enterprises develop, diversify, and expand their existing operations.
Financing available through the program can reach up to 10 million Algerian dinars. These funds are intended for the acquisition of machinery and equipment, the installation of new production lines, the development of complementary products, or the launch of entirely new business activities.
The program is accessible to a wide range of operators, including micro-enterprise leaders who may not have received prior NESDA support, as well as beneficiaries of ANGEM and CNAC. Other eligible groups include farmers, artisans, and holders of commercial registers or activity authorizations.
To qualify, applicants must be between 20 and 58 years of age and must have been active in their business for at least the last two years. The program offers financing through partnerships between the promoter and NESDA, or via a tripartite arrangement involving a bank. Additionally, loans are eligible for a 100% interest rate subsidy and other legal tax advantages. Participants are also required to complete a five-day entrepreneurship training course.
