Neshaminy Mall demolition scheduled for December
Demolition of much of the Neshaminy Mall in Bensalem, Pennsylvania, is scheduled to begin in December. Bensalem Mayor Joseph DiGirolamo confirmed the timeline for the 91-to-108-acre property, which was originally built in 1968.
While much of the mall is slated for demolition to make way for redevelopment, certain tenants are expected to remain. The AMC-24 Movie Theater, Boscov’s, and Barnes & Noble are slated to stay at the site. It is currently unclear if these businesses will remain operational during the demolition process.
The mall was sold in 2024 to developers Paramount Realty and Edgewood Properties for $27.5 million. Although the developers have not yet released specific plans or filed them with the Bensalem Council, the site is being considered for large-scale redevelopment. The property covers more than 1 million square feet of retail space and sits in a high-traffic area near Route 1 and Interstate 276.
