Nesta Elphege details journey from factory work to professional football
French striker Nesta Elphege has shared the details of his difficult journey to professional football. Following the collapse of his former club, Tours, Elphege was forced to play in lower divisions and work in a factory to support himself.
Speaking to DAZN France, Elphege described periods of doubt regarding his future as a footballer but emphasized his mental resilience. His career began to turn around when Chamois Niortais recruited him while he was playing for Sète. Although he was not initially expected to join the first team, the opportunity allowed him to work toward professional status.
Elphege explained his approach to success as a series of incremental goals, moving from reaching Ligue 2 to scoring his first professional goal. He credited Philippe Hinsberger as a key figure in his development.
