Nestlé celebrates 160 years of global operations

Nestlé is celebrating its 160th anniversary globally, marking a long history of evolution in the food and beverage industry since its founding by Henri Nestlé. The company is highlighting its ‘Creating Shared Value’ strategy, which aims to generate benefits for both local communities and the business through nutrition, sustainability, and youth opportunities.

In Central America, the company has operated for 88 years and currently maintains three plants, six distribution centers, and over 4,300 employees. In Guatemala specifically, Nestlé has been present for over 85 years. Its operations in Guatemala include two factories that export to 23 countries across North, Central, and South America and the Caribbean, as well as the largest distribution center in Central America, a cultural center, and a data analysis and artificial intelligence center. The company employs more than 2,000 people in the country.
