Nestlé implements mental health training amid rising European worker stress

According to the EU-OSHA OSH Pulse 2025 report, mental health challenges among European workers are significant. The data indicates that 29% of workers report stress, depression, or anxiety, 37% experience general fatigue, and 44% face intense pressure from workloads.

In response to these trends, Nestlé has implemented mental health initiatives within its corporate culture. Over the past two years, the company has trained more than 400 managers across both corporate offices and production plants to recognize early signs of stress, distress, and potential burnout. The program aims to improve listening skills and foster open dialogue within teams.

Additionally, Nestlé provides internal psychological counseling, which has delivered over 500 hours of consultations during working hours over the last three years. The company also partners with the online medical center Serenis to offer employees access to digital psychological support services.
