Nestlé reports Q3 organic growth of 4.0% amid Russian asset loss

Nestlé reported third-quarter organic sales growth of 4.0%, exceeding analyst expectations of 3.4%. This growth was primarily driven by a 2.8% increase in real internal growth (volume and mix), while pricing contributed 1.1%.

The company announced it has ceased consolidating its Russian operations following the seizure of its local assets by the Russian government in September. While Nestlé remains the legal owner of the assets, it has lost operational control. This move resulted in the derecognition of approximately CHF 1.6 billion in net assets and a non-cash charge of about CHF 1.4 billion due to currency translation adjustments.

Key performance drivers included Nestlé Waters and Premium Beverages, which saw 12.3% organic growth, and strong performance in the Asia, Oceania, and Africa zone, particularly in India where Maggi noodles saw significant expansion. The company also confirmed the sale of its Vitamins, Minerals, and Supplements segment to focus on core high-performing areas. Nestlé reaffirmed its full-year 2026 organic sales growth guidance of 3% to 4%.
