Nesøya beachfront estate listed for 110 million NOK

A beachfront property on Nesøya in Asker municipality is being offered for sale for 110 million NOK, a price that could set a new record for the area, surpassing the previous 89 million NOK mark.

The 5.2-decare estate features a 400-square-meter residence built in 1939. However, a technical assessment indicates the house is in poor condition, with significant deviations noted in the condition report. The appraiser suggests that demolition may be a more viable option than the costs required for renovation and upgrades to meet modern standards.

The property has been owned by the same family for three generations and gained recognition as a filming location for the Netflix series ‘Home for Christmas’. Espen Kolflaath, chairman of the owning company AS Solodden and grandson of the original owners, stated that the decision regarding demolition or renovation is left to the future owner.
