Netanyahu claims cooperation with Trump will eliminate Iranian threat

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel has a historic opportunity to eliminate the threat posed by Iran and claimed that, in cooperation with President Trump, the threat will be removed permanently. Speaking following the Knesset elections, Netanyahu emphasized the need to form a strong, right-wing national government and urged Zionist and Jewish majorities to remain united against political efforts to include non-Zionist Arab lists in a coalition.

In a separate critique, former Mossad chief Tamir Pardo questioned Netanyahu’s strategic approach regarding Iran. Pardo accused the Prime Minister of misleading the public about Iran’s nuclear capabilities and suggested that Netanyahu is intentionally prolonging the conflict to avoid accountability for the events of October 7, 2023. Pardo characterized Netanyahu’s presentation of intelligence regarding Iran’s nuclear program as a “propaganda campaign” and argued that the Prime Minister is seeking an endless conflict rather than a decisive victory.
