Netanyahu vows to overthrow Iranian regime as nuclear campaign nears completion

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has declared that the overthrow of the Iranian regime is a central objective of Israeli foreign policy, asserting that the regime is 'weak, fighting for its life and floundering' and nearing its end.

During a government meeting held for a Rosh Hashanah toast, Netanyahu stated that Israel has already completed 80-90% of its campaign to eliminate Iran's nuclear threat. He emphasized that while significant progress has been made alongside the United States in neutralizing existential threats like ballistic missiles and atomic capabilities, the mission is not yet complete.

Netanyahu issued a stern warning to Tehran, stating that any decision by Iran to attack Israel would result in an 'unimaginable' strike. He further characterized Israel as the premier superpower in the Middle East, cautioning adversaries not to provoke the nation.

In a separate development, U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) reported that the Iranian oil tanker M/T Kylo sank in the Gulf of Oman after being struck by U.S. forces. This incident occurred following reports that the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps launched ballistic missiles at U.S. Navy vessels patrolling the region.
