Netanyahu says Israel hasn't received US‑backed Gaza peace plan

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated that Israel has not received the United States‑backed plan for Gaza. He said the plan was sent to Israel but was not accepted, adding, "they sent us a plan, which we have not received: it is not our plan. We have conveyed our comments to them." Netanyahu noted that any Israeli withdrawal from the Gaza Strip will only occur after Hamas is fully disarmed.

Netanyahu met with Donald Trump's "Peace Council," which offered assurances that Israeli forces would retain their positions in Gaza until Hamas is completely disarmed. Hamas, meanwhile, announced it accepts a Trump‑proposed agreement that would end hostilities and allow a gradual Israeli pull‑out. The Israeli premier, who is campaigning for re‑election, faces pressure from far‑right coalition partners demanding a parliamentary vote to reject the proposal.
