Netanyahu unveils new security doctrine and regional alliance map

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has introduced a new security doctrine emphasizing preventive strikes and the establishment of buffer zones. As part of this presentation, a map was unveiled depicting a broader Middle Eastern strategic landscape.

The map identifies a “Hexagonal Alliance” consisting of Israel, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), Greece, Ethiopia, and parts of India. The document portrays the UAE and Israel as having close ties to various regional actors, including the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) in southwest Sudan, as well as separatist elements in Libya, Yemen, and Somaliland.

In a related development regarding regional stability, the UAE and Saudi Arabia have reportedly reached an agreement to re-engage in the Yemeni conflict. Under this arrangement, the UAE would resume funding government forces fighting Houthi rebels in southern Yemen, while Saudi Arabia provides air support. This move aims to resolve previous diplomatic disagreements between the two nations regarding Yemen's future.
