Netanyahu's policies threaten regional stability, says former Knesset member

Former Knesset member Hasan Kanan has stated that the current policies of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu do not ensure security or long-term stability for Israel or the surrounding region.

Kanan’s comments follow Israeli airstrikes against the Abu al Duhur air base near Aleppo, Syria. The Israeli government justified the strike by alleging that Syria was on the verge of violating security agreements. Kanan suggests these military actions are intended to signal that the Israeli government will not accept any agreements that do not satisfy the country's far-right elements.

Kanan argues that genuine stability in the Middle East can only be achieved through a just peace based on international law. He emphasized the necessity of the withdrawal of Israeli troops from all occupied territories, including Syria, Lebanon, Palestine, the West Bank, and the Gaza Strip.
