NetApp acquires JetStream Software to bolster VMware data protection
NetApp has acquired JetStream Software, a company specializing in disaster recovery and migration solutions for VMware. The acquisition is intended to strengthen NetApp’s portfolio regarding cyber resilience, data mobility, and cloud migration capabilities.
As many enterprises continue to rely on VMware for critical applications, they often seek ways to transfer workloads to the cloud while minimizing costs and operational disruptions. JetStream’s technology will allow customers to protect VMware environments running on various storage platforms and facilitate recovery onto NetApp solutions, such as Azure NetApp Files.
NetApp CEO George Kurian stated that the integration of JetStream expands the company’s ability to keep customer data secure, available, and ready for future needs, reinforcing NetApp’s position in business resilience and data protection.
