NetApp hits 52-week high amid AI expansion and CEO stock sales

NetApp shares reached a new 52-week high of $209.28 during recent trading. The company has seen positive market sentiment driven by several strategic developments, including a partnership with Oracle to launch a managed storage service for AI and enterprise workloads, and the introduction of Novus, an architecture designed for large-scale AI factories.

In addition to product expansions, NetApp is collaborating with Supermicro on AI infrastructure and deepening integration with SAP Cloud Infrastructure. The company also announced the Keystone Sovereign offering to support data sovereignty requirements for European customers.

On the corporate side, NetApp CEO George Kurian has engaged in significant insider selling. On September 24, Kurian sold 37,000 shares at an average price of $199.95, totaling approximately $7.4 million. This follows previous sales in September totaling over $10 million.

Separately, NetApp is being recognized for social impact. The company will present the NFL with its Customer Social Impact Award at INSIGHT 2026, acknowledging the NFL’s Inspire Change initiative. NetApp is also launching a philanthropic partnership with Per Scholas to support cybersecurity and AI training for underrepresented communities.
