NetApp validates ONTAP support for VMware Cloud Foundation 9.1

NetApp has announced that its new ONTAP capabilities have been tested and validated to support VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) 9.1. This integration is designed to provide customers with an optimized and secure data infrastructure for both private and hybrid cloud environments.

The combination of VCF 9.1 and NetApp’s data management features aims to help enterprises reduce costs and accelerate the deployment of AI software into production. The solution includes built-in security features, such as protection against ransomware attacks through rapid recovery capabilities.

NetApp’s cloud storage services are noted as the only external enterprise storage certified to support VMware Cloud Foundation across major hyperscale clouds. This allows for license portability, enabling customers to run VMware workloads in certified hyperscaler environments without the need for refactoring.
