NetEase Games releases Once Human Isles of Abyss update

NetEase Games has launched the Isles of Abyss, a major free update for the open-world survival game Once Human. Available on PC, iOS, Android, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S, the expansion introduces a vast maritime environment that extends gameplay from land to the open sea and deep ocean depths.

Key features of the update include a new ship construction system, allowing players to build mobile sea bases ranging from small sailing vessels to massive moving maritime fortresses known as “Sea Fortresses.” The expansion introduces a “Sea-Land” gameplay system that connects terrestrial exploration with oceanic survival.

Players can explore four distinct maritime zones: the Cursed Mist, Black Tide, Time Rain, and Skyfire Stone. The update also features new cooperative challenges and a massive new boss encounter described as a kaiju-scale deep-sea titan called “The Sunken Lord.”
