Netflix secures 2030 FIFA World Cup rights in Spain and Andorra

Netflix has secured the exclusive broadcasting rights for the 2030 FIFA World Cup in Spain and Andorra. The streaming platform will broadcast all 104 matches of the tournament live, marking a significant expansion of its live sports portfolio.

The 2030 tournament, which celebrates the centenary of the first World Cup, will be primarily hosted by Spain, Portugal, and Morocco, with commemorative matches held in Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay. Netflix plans to provide comprehensive coverage, including pre-match, halftime, and post-match programming, as well as daily highlights.

To ensure public access, the agreement includes provisions for free viewing in Spain. One match per matchday will be available for free, and a national free-to-air broadcaster—yet to be identified—will receive a package containing all matches involving the Spanish national team, the two semifinals, and the final.
