Netflix adds August movies and The Walking Dead series to catalog

Netflix announced its August 2026 lineup, featuring new films such as *The Last House* (premiering August 7), the coming‑of‑age drama *Don’t Say Good Luck* (August 14) and the thriller *The Whisper Man* (August 28). The streaming service also highlighted classic titles that will be available throughout the month.

In a separate licensing deal, Netflix and AMC Global Media signed a multi‑year agreement to bring the original *The Walking Dead* series and all six spin‑off series to the platform in new territories, including the United Kingdom, Italy, Australia and New Zealand, beginning in 2027. The deal adds 371 episodes of the zombie‑apocalypse franchise to Netflix’s catalogue, expanding its global content offering.
