Netflix adds Scarlett Johansson's 'Sing' to lineup for Aug 3‑9, 2026

Netflix’s weekly schedule for August 3‑9, 2026 adds the animated musical comedy Sing, voiced by Scarlett Johansson and directed by Garth Jennings. The film, set in a world of anthropomorphic animals, follows a koala named Buster Moon who stages a singing contest to save his theater. It earned about $634 million worldwide and features a voice cast that includes Matthew McConaughey, Reese Witherspoon and Seth MacFarlane.

The week also sees the release of the horror sequel Five Nights at Freddy’s 2, set a year and a half after the original and following the character Abby as she confronts a vengeful animatronic. Despite mixed reviews, the film grossed roughly $240 million.
