Netflix adds Zhang Yimou martial arts film ‘Hero’ to platform

Netflix has added the acclaimed martial arts film ‘Hero’ (2002), directed by Zhang Yimou, to its platform. Set in feudal China, the film follows the story of King Qin and his quest to unify the seven warring kingdoms. The narrative involves three assassins hired to kill the king and a warrior recruited to defend him.

Directed by Zhang Yimou, a prominent figure in Chinese cinema known for ‘Red Lantern’ and ‘Shadow’, the film received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Foreign Language Film.
