Netflix and Firefox unveil redesigned user interfaces

Netflix has released a revised TV‑player interface, rolling out on July 29 2026. The update removes on‑screen play/pause and rewind buttons, relying on remote‑control commands, and adds a unified audio‑subtitle menu to streamline viewing on connected TVs.

Mozilla’s Firefox browser is introducing a visual redesign called “Nova.” First appearing in the Nightly channel, Nova features rounded tabs, warmer colour palettes, modernised icons, a return of Compact mode and new theme options. The redesign is still being refined before reaching the broader public.

Both changes aim to improve user experience by simplifying controls and providing a more cohesive look across devices.
