Netflix and Warner Bros. develop ‘300’ prequel series with Zack Snyder

Netflix and Warner Bros. Television are reportedly collaborating to develop a prequel series to the 2006 film ‘300’. While the project has not yet been officially ordered to series, reports indicate that a writers' room has already been assembled.

Zack Snyder, who directed the original film, is reportedly attached to direct the pilot and serve as an executive producer. Deborah Snyder is also expected to return as an executive producer. The franchise, based on the graphic novel by Frank Miller and Lynn Varley, follows the legendary Spartan warriors and their battles against the Persian army.

Although Warner Bros. Television confirmed the project was in early development in May 2024, the specific involvement of Netflix and the formation of a writers' room currently rely on industry reports rather than official studio announcements.
