Netflix Announces August 28 Release for Danish Thriller “The Secret Woman”

Netflix has released the first trailer for the upcoming Danish thriller series “The Secret Woman” (original title Den hemmelige kvinde). The Nordic‑noir drama, adapted from Anna Ekberg’s novel, follows Louise Andersen, who lives a quiet life on the Norwegian island of Hidra until a stranger claims she is actually Helene Söderberg, a Danish woman who vanished three years earlier.

The series is directed by Barbara Topsøe‑Rothenborg and stars Natalie Madueño, Claes Bang, Pål Sverre Hagen, Stina Ekblad, Ingrid Bolsø Berdal and Lars Simonsen. Netflix says the show will debut on its platform on 28 August.
