Netflix announces cast for mystery thriller series Outback

Netflix has announced the cast for its upcoming mystery thriller series, “Outback.” The production features a prominent ensemble including Ryu Jun Yeol, Jung Ho Yeon, Hong Kyung, Won Ji An, and Justin Min.

Adapted from the webtoon “G’Day,” the story is set in Australia. It follows Shi On, played by Hong Kyung, who travels to the country following the sudden death of his sister, Shi Young (Won Ji An). As he investigates the circumstances of her passing, he encounters Min Hyuk (Ryu Jun Yeol), a mysterious figure central to the investigation, and Smiley (Jung Ho Yeon), a local content creator and streamer. Justin Min will portray Scott, a police officer of Korean heritage.

The series is executive produced by Han Jun Hee, known for “D.P.,” and directed by Jeon Doo Kwan. A release date has not yet been announced.
