Netflix to release Mexican legal drama ‘La ley de Alicia’

Netflix has announced the release of ‘La ley de Alicia’ (Alicia’s Law), a Mexican legal drama inspired by the series ‘The Good Wife’. The production will be released in two parts: the first on November 11, 2026, and the second on December 9, 2026.

Starring Fernanda Castillo, the series follows Alicia, a lawyer who returns to the profession after a 20-year hiatus. Her decision to re-enter the legal world is prompted by a personal crisis after her husband, Aurelio, is convicted of corruption and imprisoned, while simultaneously being linked to a sexual scandal.

The narrative explores Alicia’s attempt to rebuild her career and navigate the public scrutiny facing her family, including her teenage children, while balancing professional challenges with personal identity and romance.
