Netflix announces Mike Tyson documentary and one-man show

Netflix has announced two upcoming productions featuring former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson.

The first is a four-part documentary series titled ‘Tyson’, scheduled to premiere on October 13. Directed by Floyd Russ, the series will trace Tyson’s life from his upbringing in Brooklyn to his rise as a world champion. The production aims to explore the ‘man behind the legend’, covering his professional highlights alongside personal struggles, including his time in prison, addictions, and the infamous 1997 fight against Evander Holyfield.

Following the documentary, Netflix will release ‘Mike Tyson: Return of the Mike’ on November 3. This production is a new one-man show, continuing Tyson’s history of performing stage programs and tours.
