Netflix announces new Bridgerton spin-off centered on Lady Violet

Netflix and Shondaland have announced a new limited series spin-off of the Bridgerton universe. The production will focus on the youth and romance of Lady Violet, the family matriarch, and her relationship with Edmund Bridgerton.

Following a similar format to ‘Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story’, the series is expected to draw inspiration from Julia Quinn’s 2013 novella, ‘Violet in Bloom’. While the exact nature of the adaptation is unconfirmed, the source material explores Violet’s upbringing in the Ledger mansion and her subsequent romance with the warm and courteous Edmund.

Actress Arséma Thomas has confirmed she will reprise her role as a young Lady Danbury. Casting for the lead roles of young Violet and Edmund has not yet been announced, nor has a definitive title for the series been revealed.
