Netflix announces new ‘Pride and Prejudice’ miniseries

Netflix has announced a new six-episode miniseries adaptation of Jane Austen’s classic novel, ‘Pride and Prejudice’, scheduled for release on December 3, 2026. The production is written by Dolly Alderton and directed by Euros Lyn.

The series aims to appeal to a younger audience while remaining a faithful adaptation of the 1813 novel. The cast features Emma Corrin as Elizabeth Bennet and Jack Lowden as Mr. Darcy, alongside Olivia Colman and Rufus Sewell.

The plot follows the Bennet family in rural England, focusing on the romantic entanglements and social pressures faced by the five sisters as they navigate marriage and family security in the late 18th century.
