Netflix announces new series ‘Blodsoffer’ and ‘The Body’

Netflix has announced upcoming releases for two new series. The Swedish crime thriller ‘Blodsoffer’ (Blood Sacrifice) is scheduled to premiere on August 20. Directed by Kristoffer Nyholm and written by George Kay, the series follows a detective investigating a series of brutal murders targeting police officers near Stockholm.

Additionally, the streaming platform will release ‘The Body’ on November 11, 2026. Written and directed by Quinn Shephard, this eight-episode coming-of-age horror series centers on a group of girls at a Catholic school who experience prophetic visions following a hazing incident. The series is described as a psychological teen drama with influences from films such as ‘Carrie’ and ‘Jennifer’s Body’.
