Netflix announces revival of ‘Talk Survivor!’ series

Netflix has announced the global release of ‘Talk Survivor! DEAD or LAUGH’, an eight-episode comedy series set to premiere on November 10. The series follows a survival format where comedians compete using their personal anecdotes, facing immediate elimination if they fail to be entertaining.

Produced by Nobuyuki Sakuma and featuring the comedy duo Chidori, the show is a revival of the popular Japanese unscripted series. Although the previous third season was marketed as the ‘final chapter’, the production was revived following significant viewer demand. Sakuma stated that the decision to restart was driven by fan requests and the desire to showcase talented young comedians.

The new season aims to reinvent the series from the ground up, moving beyond a simple continuation to create a fresh experience. Teaser visuals for the new season feature members of Chidori, Daigo and Nobu, in a redesigned aesthetic.
