Netflix announces September 18 release for drama ‘Scandal’

Netflix has announced that its new original series, ‘Scandal’, is scheduled to premiere on September 18. The drama stars Son Ye Jin, Ji Chang Wook, and Nana, and is set during the Joseon era.

Adapted from the French novel ‘Dangerous Liaisons’, the series follows a dangerous wager between Lady Jo (Son Ye Jin), a noblewoman with hidden ambitions, and Jo Won (Ji Chang Wook), a man known as the ‘Romeo of Joseon’. Their game of deceit ensnares Hee-yeon (Nana), a young widow caught in a situation she did not choose. Directed by Jung Ji Woo, the production offers a modern interpretation of the classic tale within a historical Korean setting.
