Netflix announces Swedish thriller ‘A Couple of Lies’

Netflix has announced the release of a new Swedish psychological thriller miniseries titled ‘A Couple of Lies’ (original title ‘Bytet’), scheduled to premiere on October 30.

The series follows two couples, Helena and Karl from Stockholm and Scarlet and Adam from Sicily, who decide to swap homes for several weeks. What begins as a dream vacation in a Sicilian villa quickly devolves into a tense game of mistrust, surveillance, and manipulation as secrets and betrayals surface. The production features actors Emma Appleton, Fares Fares, Frida Gustavson, and Jakob Oftebro, and is directed by Kasper Barfod.
