Netflix begins filming Brazilian drama Mãe Imperfeita

Netflix has announced the start of filming for Mãe Imperfeita (Imperfect Mother), a new Brazilian drama series produced by A Fábrica. The production is being filmed in Rio de Janeiro.

The series stars Paolla Oliveira and Fabiula Nascimento, with Nascimento making her streaming debut. The project is directed by Rogério Gomes, marking his first collaboration with the platform. The plot explores human relationships through the lens of moral dilemmas, personal choices, and the challenges of starting over.

The series was created based on an original idea by Eduardo Vaisman and Alice Gomes, with a writing team including Felipe Sant’Angelo, Cauê Laratta, Maiara de Paula, Mariana Mesquita, and Rodrigo Batista. The ensemble cast also features Ailton Graça, Aline Borges, Denise Weinberg, David Junior, Emílio de Mello, Felipe Abib, Juliane Araújo, Mariana Molina, Renato Livera, and Totia Meireles.
