Netflix begins filming Harlan Coben's 'The Woods' in Manchester starring Michelle Keegan
Netflix is producing an eight‑part adaptation of Harlan Coben’s novel The Woods (Les Bois) in the north‑west of England. The series, set in the United Kingdom, follows barrister Paul “Cope” Copeland (Tom Bateman) as he confronts the disappearance of his sister twenty years earlier, with Michelle Keegan playing Lucy Silverfield.
Filming has taken place on Manchester’s Mount Street, near the Central Library and the Midland Hotel, and on locations in Bolton and other parts of the region. The cast also includes James Buckley, Tom Allen, Tracy‑Ann Oberman, Mandeep Dhillon and others. The production is overseen by screenwriter Danny Brocklehurst and the Manchester‑based Quay Street Productions.
The series will be streamed on Netflix after completion, continuing the platform’s slate of Coben adaptations.
