Netflix begins production on ‘Ad Vitam Eternam’ sequel

Netflix has commenced production on ‘Ad Vitam Eternam’, the sequel to the successful French action thriller ‘Ad Vitam’. The film follows Franck Lazareff, a former member of the elite GIGN unit, played by Guillaume Canet. After surviving an assassination attempt following his release from prison, Lazareff seeks to uncover the truth behind the attack. While hiding in the mountains with his family, he is intercepted by French intelligence services, who offer him a secret mission in exchange for answers.

Ludovic Colbeau-Justin takes over directing duties from Rodolphe Lauga. The screenplay is a collaboration between Guillaume Canet, Maxime Chattam, and David Corona. The cast features returning actors Stéphane Caillard, Nassim Lyes, and Zita Hanrot, alongside new additions including Sophie Marceau and Mathieu Amalric. Filming is taking place across various French regions, including Île-de-France, Normandy, Savoie, and Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur.
